When I played Left Brain Right Brain I was not too impressed. I thought that the concept was good but that the mini games could have been more difficult making for a better experience. This sequel by Majesco intends to improve on the last edition bringing more of a challenge. Lets see how they have done.
Left Brain Right Brain is one of many brain improvement games out there on the market that try to emulate Nintendo’s superb Brain Age game. Fans of these brain teasers never seem to tire of trying to improve their cognitive skills so it is no wonder that there are so many titles in this genre. Majesco’s twist this time around is to train the hand that you don’t usually use by playing a series of mini games. That is to say if you are right handed then use the left and vice versa.
The game of chess has always looked pretty complicated to me. I can remember my uncle who was very proficient in the game, taking what seemed hours to me as a child, deciding which move to make next. It is certainly a game requiring deep concentration, patience and lots of strategy. The player needs to look ahead to try to anticipate their opponents next move, while planning their own, to outwit their advisory before you yourself are out played and so defeated.
Brain Boost Gamma Wave is one of many brain training games that have been released hot on the heels of the successful Nintendo Brain Age games. Does this game live up to the challenge I ask myself. Well its a good game with some good brain teasers but unfortunately for me is not in the same league as the aforementioned. That said looking at it from a positive perspective it is worth a play.
